Home Alone

We’re going somewhere doggies aren’t allowed. I guess that means party for the pups?

Honey doesn’t seem to like this idea.

Rediscovering Old Toys

I remember when Ash was that tiny, and his favorite toy was lambchop, twice the size of him.

I tried to get him to play with this little blue bone, but he wouldn’t because the loud squeaker frightened him.

Now, at 7 months he’s rediscovered it. He looks so silly!

Would We Adopt Another Husky?

Would We Adopt Another Husky?

Someone just the other day was talking to me on the subject of dog adoptions. This person said that I am so proud of raising a Husky, but does that mean that I wouldn’t want to have any other dog?

You may not know that Chris and I actually bought Ash from a husky ranch. Looking back on that now, it was probably not the best decision for many small reasons rolled into one. What was the BEST decision was our puppy choice, because we love love love our furry child with all our hearts! ❤

We already know that unfortunately, after Honey is to pass away, we want to start again with another furry brother or sister for Ash. But’cha know what?

The next “new addition” will not have to be a Siberian Husky. No, this isn’t because of our previous experience getting Ash, or because we would want a dog just like Honey, or even Cutie. Having a Malamute is ideal! Yet, adopting a dog that really needs us, that’s a really nice thought and it’s a must.

I could tell when I first held Ash in my arms the first day we got him, that he was ours. He needed us from the get-go. He took to us very well very soon. The connection we made with Ash as a puppy isn’t because of what breed he is.

He’s a handsome pup, that’s for sure.

Chris and I both can love basically every dog. We’re animal lovers to the bone… Hell, sometimes we even love ’em over humans! Who doesn’t, am I right? 🙂

Whenever the time comes, we KNOW that taking our time in choosing a dog is a must. It may be a 8 week baby, it may be older, but whichever, we definitely want to share our love, and expand the doggy family no matter what breed.

Every. Single. Time.

It never fails. Every single time I put any sort of blanket or padding in the kennel for Ash I be comfortable, he has an accident on it.

I’m not even sure if its accidental anymore!

This is why Chris tells me to leave his kennel empty. This morning, because I was rushing to get out of the house on time, I put Ash in his smaller ken. Now I have to go home to that mess that is basically my fault. :/

Grrawr !

Ash through the Months

Ash isn’t even a year old yet. Small moments we’ve captured in the last 7 months were put together into a video montage. We have such a happy puppy!

Strawberry Cheesecake, Anyone?

Honey, were you watching Ash?

Yep, totally.

Ash is at the point where he gets into trash now...
We are to blame because if you're a dog, and people are tossing away perfectly tasty scraps as your level, it's too difficult to pass up. However, us people don't like the aftermath.

Every dog I've had growing up has dug in the trash, and pulled things out to eat on the furniture. It's more than just annoying, it's disgusting, and a hassle to clean up. *sighs*

We need to buy trash bins with lids is what NEEDS to happen!
Good, sturdy bins that don't tempt Honey and Ash.. especially Ash.

You don't know how many times I've walked out of our bedroom to find Ash on the stairs, looking happy as ever. Not guilty.

How many times I've looked over the balcony, into the living room, and saw that Ash had put banana peels, and ripped up scrubbin' bubble cleaner boxes on the couch!

What are some things you do to keep your animals from the trash?
How can I change their behavior?

Come boy, see what you've done wrong.

Words from the Bun: Ash and Hun bonding!

Oh, hello Humans.

Are you here for me…. or the blue-eyed demon?

Honey-August 2013

I can be just like him, you know.

… See.

Ash-August 2013

Good one, Sis.

IMG_3153

I’m also capable of being just as majestic, and cute in human arms.

IMG_3155

At least the horrible humans thought enough to let me out of the house!

IMG_3262

At least they didn’t do this to me.
We should call PETA.

I think maybe I could like brother.

Call Ash an Astronaut, he’s taking up too much space.

Mama’s overwhelmed by me!

Why me?!

Why me?!

Lately I’ve been filming and snapping pictures left and right, and then just purging all of it onto my computer when I have a second. You can imagine how much that amounts to at the end of the week. I know I should find a few minutes in my day to put up a couple of things that I just recently took. In fact, that may even be the easier way, and I would have a better opportunity to organize folders.

I was doing so well….

I need to sit down one of these days, pick and choose what to use, what to erase, and where I can put it all! My computer is running out of space, and my BLOG IS RUNNING OUT OF SPACE!! Eek.

Mama, Can I Fold?

Mama, Can I Fold?

Sometimes I do wish this little buddy did help with some of the chores, you know, like what a little person could be there for. Although, the fact remains that I am a doggy momma, and NOT a Mommy, so when Ash brings me his rope, and he messed up my perfectly folded pile of clothes, I play with him. Sure, sometimes I raise my voice and get frustrated. Afterall, he runs around with his tongue constantly out and gets everything so slobbery! It’s nasty… but, I’m glad to have him in my life. I’m glad he is mine and Chris’ responsibility, and not diapers and late night feedings.
