Chris & I met online 4 years, and 5 months ago…

It is mind-boggling for me to look into our past and think about all the plans and expectations we had for now. There are so many things I didn’t expect to happen, Ash being one of them!

If you had told me 4 years ago that I would be taking care of a Siberian Husky, I would have laughed.
“Whaaaa? I live in Texas…you crazy? What do you mean I’ll be in Florida by then?”

Before Ash came into our lives, or even before I moved to Florida this year, I never saw myself having another connection with any other dog that wasn’t Meako; my dog from home. I remember telling Chris that I wish I could have brought him with me, but he was of course a part of my parents’ lives as well. I was so sad around Chris’ dogs, Cutie and Honey for the longest time because it just made me miss Meako more.

After settling into Florida, and living with Chris, the idea of having a dog of our own together was sounding really nice.

We looked for months to find the perfect dog. Chris had always wanted a Husky, and even though we knew the negatives to owning one, we did lots of heavy research to assure ourselves it was the right choice. For us, it was and is. 🙂

Ash has brought so much happiness and joy to our lives.

Dogs are members of the family.
Chris and I together are a couple, but now that Ash is here I feel we have started our own family.
That’s a nice feeling to have at the end of every day.

In my arms for the first time.

This hasn’t been said before, but this moment when I held Ash in my arms for the first time and he burrowed into my jacket and rested his head on my chest was the very moment I made another connection.
