You Can’t Teach Old Dogs New Tricks

Or the ill-behaved to behave apparently.

If anyone thought puppies were demons, try having a very old, frightened, and stubborn dog live with you. When it rains, even when there’s no thunder, the bedroom door and floor suffers.

Mind you, this is a NEW DOOR and newly installed CARPET! Coming home to this is angering.

What will we do…

A Surprise Adventure & First For Us All! (Video Included! Please Watch :)

Good Evening, Everyone, or good day to those of you just now seeing this because you’re not up late like us!

I wanted to make sure I got this post up. 🙂

Ash is lying on the bed in between mine and Chris’ desk. He looks up at me with a huge, cheesy smile every now and then.

(Filmed when I came home from work today.)

His most favorite toy is a rope. I should just stock up on them, and keep a box stored away. Every time he goes through one, I can replace it. He’s gone quite a while without a rope because of course, he shreds it while playing with Honey.

On June 25th, we did another FIRST with Ash.

Early Morning in June

It was early in the morning. (7 AM)

All credit for these beautiful pictures goes to Chris. He did a great job, didn’t he? We were in the car, so that’s why some parts are blurry. 🙂

I really love the mornings at this hour. Let me clarify, I love to be off work, and up at this time, spending it with Chris and our puppy.

When I work, I am usually up before the sun, and have to work through sunrise, which I kinda really hate I guess.

Looooveeee no one on the road, windows down, and my 2 boys in the car with me. 🙂

Can you guess yet where our car adventure took us?

He wasn’t even aware yet. How exciting this is!

June 25, 2013

Welcome to the beach, boy.
Don’t worry, you’ll love it.

See, this is Florida water. Your home.

He sat on the beach for a good while letting the wind blow on his face.
He and Chris ran up and down, every now and then Ash did small splashes in the water.
He was hesitant to dive in.

As you can tell. Haha
Ash pulled on his leash to tell us, “No way, guys! I’ll stay up here in the sand and watch you get trampled by ‘dem waves.”
It’s a good thing it was a green flag day.

We didn’t force him in water when he really didn’t want to, but we did pull him into it every so often so he could feel the water.
Just like at the bay, with each visit I’m sure he’ll grow more fond of the water.

He enjoyed the sand though.

I Will Sit Right Here, Holding This Leash For As Long As It Takes. Don’t Make ME GO.

At one point, Ash really did dive in! It was so cute. He just started to prance into the ocean once the waves went away, and shortly after pranced right back towards the beach.

Why the water gotta be so mad?

What did I ever do?

Haha! I’ll get it now!

And…now we break.

We like this picture of him. It looks like he’s in snow. If it really were, he would have a blast!

We’ll just watch the sun rise for now. This is nice. 🙂

He’s very wolf-like. It’s in his eyes. Beautiful. ❤

& now for the video!
I apologize for it being so long. Hehe. It’s 12 minutes.

Asher and Knikki

I know I promised a never-before-seen post, and I’m well past late… The problem is my darn laptop! No, not my lap DOG.

My computer that has been rendering a 10 minute video for 3 days! It’s ridiculous. When I get home today, I’m hoping that I can upload it. 😦

He’s certainly tired of waiting.

But here are a couple of pictures we wanted to share from yesterday. 🙂

Thank You Followers!

A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone that views the blog, and leaves us love. It is greatly appreciated.

This blog was started so that we could share with you our experience with raising a Siberian Husky puppy. We genuinely show you the ups and the downs, and of course all that comes in between. We may not be very popular, but we love having a community to share with. Our only hope is that the community continues to enjoy the segments of our life.

There isn’t very much feedback on the site, but I know you’re out there, guys! I see the stats and I read the here and there messages. I love it. ❤

Here’s a heads up for tomorrow: Never-before-seen footage and pictures coming your way.

Well obviously, huh? It’s a post I’m yet to put up! Haha! Well, you will be surprised to see what Ash has in store. I think you’ll love it. You already know how much he loves water, this just emphasizes it.

Have a great night, everyone. I’m off to sleep, and hopefully when I wake up the video for tomorrow will be rendered and I can upload it. 😉

The Reason I Hold Tight

The Reason I Hold Tight

These aren’t song lyrics, I wrote this myself. This is how I feel about Ash, especially now that he’s getting smarter, and loves us more. We’re everything to him, just as he is to us.

REWIND! Let us take a small look back for a moment and remember-

Recognize this gorgeous pup?

Before we met Ash

It’s our baby, Ash before we even met him!

This picture brings back so many emotions for both of us. When Chris and I saw this specific picture on the website, we just KNEW he was ours because our hearts instantly melted. This is the first picture we could actually distinguish his features. The first picture he looked more like a puppy, not a baby, and his soft eyes had us right then.

Very 1st Picture of Ash

This was the very FIRST picture we ever saw of Ash. This was also the first picture I printed of him, and still have displayed on my wall. I keep this to look up at next to my computer because he was born this day (January 16.) Just a little fur bundle, isn’t he?

We can’t say that anymore. He’s more than just a fur ball, he looks nearly grown, yet has a quite a way still.

Today, Ash is 22 weeks old.

He’s 5 months, and 9 days.

He’s been in this world for 160 days.

Earlier tonight as I was up in bed with Chris, and Ash was in between us licking my arm, I was thinking about his year birthday. Yes, I know it’s far off from now, but can you blame me for being excited? Silly me, because I have so many ideas and plans for that day. He’s gonna be big. O_O He’ll wear a party hat though. He’ll be a  a big year old Husky, with a goofy party hat on his head (if it even stays with the pointy ears he has.)
