Well, it’s true. Not only is is the middle of the week, but it also happens to be the last day of July!
July wasn’t our favorite month, no not at all. Can fall get here please? Can it come soon?

Mom says I’m a big doofus.
What does that even mean? I just like to follow her and daddy every where they go, and touch them with my mouth. How else can I guide them to the treat jar???

Yes, Ash has surpassed many things in size.

He’s one big doofus that doesn’t even know how big he is.
His bum knocks things over, he chases his tail like it’s a rope toy,
and he knocks us over instead of us stepping on him by accident. He KNOCKS us over…

No one understands what it’s like to have a tail.
No one even understands what it’s like to grow this fast!

Wednesday was a drag for me.
It was a long day at work, and all I could think about while working was how I wanted to get home and see the boys.

The long day turned my mood sour, but when I got home Chris really lifted my spirits.

He told me the funniest story about Ash, and I couldn’t stop laughing for quite some time.

So, today while I was cleaning upstairs around Ash’s kennel, he did something really strange. He farted, and then barked at himself afterwards.

Wait, Chris what? You’re saying he got angry for farting?

I guess he was startled by it. He was doing that usual thing where he sleeps on his back with his belly up in the air, and his butt facing the fan.

So, basically he farted while he was sleeping, and then the noise surprised him and he yelped!?

Lately, it’s cute how vocal Ash is becoming.

The other day he was talking to his treat.
The next day he was spinning and circles, barking at his own tail.
Today, he’s yelling at his own bum…

Bucket Chaser – Getting Destructive, Save the PS3!

Happy Sunday!
We just lounge around in our PJS

 Good morning Daddy!

Chris was a late waker today.
He’s felt sick, but as soon as he came out of the bedroom,
Ash was on that spot on the floor and started to smile when he saw him. 🙂

It’s been a slow, and quiet day thus far. Tomorrow Knikki goes to work and the week starts all over again.

We hope Chris feels better soon. 😥

Product Review: The Automatic Flow Dog Waterer

The Pet Waterer

Petco was having a sale, and I thought, “Just in time!” Ash & Honey needed a waterer. I was getting too tired of filling their bowls up every few hours. Ash drinks an excessive amount of water.

I was happy to find a very nice-looking one on their site for sale. You can find it here.

If there’s one thing I really don’t like about buying for large dogs, is that the price difference between a medium-size dog item and a large-size dog item is significantly higher, maybe sometimes $5, $10, or $20! (This being my experience lately.)

Honey is considered to be small for her size, but we would go ahead and classify her as medium. So here I have a medium dog and a large dog. I should have just bought the large waterer. If the one I had bought is as small as it is, and it’s $13, and only 6 qts, don’t you agree that for my big babies, I should have just purchased the $17 with 12 qts.

Buying online is ideal, but sometimes a mistake.

Chris put this thing together while I was gone at work.
It takes less than 10 minutes to assemble and fill up. What a deal!

IMG_2921

Now, don’t get me wrong! I love this thing. I don’t have to fill it as often as I had to with their bowls.

This job is maybe once every 2-3 days.

The first few days I think took the dogs getting used to this new contraption.

They kept looking for water in their old bowls. Ash didn’t really want to use it at first.
He avoided it, until he realized that’s the only water he was getting.

So, I put it downstairs near the kitchen, and in the kennel area. When they come in from outside they
can easily get a drink of water.

Although, one day while I was upstairs I heard a bunch of noises coming from downstairs and I went down only to find
the water was almost all gone from inside of the bucket, and the towel was soaked, as was the floor. There Ash stood staring at me with a big grin on his face. He either thinks its a toy, or the tiny clicking noise from the sensor freaks him out.

Either way, he’s since grown okay with it.  He doesn’t growl at it, or start fights. I think before, he was just being playful with it, trying to swim like he used to do with his big water bowls.

Of course, I’m the destructive one in her stories again…Doesn’t anyone recall what Honey did to their floor?

Words from the Bun:

December 2012

You mean to tell me you’re getting another dog in this house… and we have no floors?!

My paws hurt, last thing I need is a puppy jumping on me.

We took this of Honey in December, before Ash was born, and of course… before he was here. We were in the process of home renovations, and preparing Honey for her new brother. 🙂

Making Ice Cream For Your Doggies!

Although summer weather is nearly over, we all know how hot it’s been!
Here in Florida, it’s been so hot outside that the idea of walking Ash has been far from pleasant. Not to mention, it rains so much right now, and it’s very humid. However, here’s a fun, and VERY easy, inexpensive treat for those hot pups out there.

You know, I didn’t even realize that you could give your dogs all of these ingredients, but it’s so great to know you can.

I hope to try this for Ash and Honey sometime in the near future.

Let me know if you do this with your dogs, and if you have any other dog treat recipes, please leave us a comment!

Kick ‘Em Up, & Take A Rest

I don’t know about the rest of you guys, but we here have a long couple of days so far.

For goodness sake, Ash rearranged the L-room with his mouth today!

spring cleaner

Who knew we were spring cleaning already?!

It’s no surprise how worn out he is…

kennel sleeper

Chris and I didn’t exactly like where he put his room, so it’s back where it belongs. o.o

careless

He really could care less, donchu think?
He loves not having the blankets or towels in there anymore. The cool metal feels good on his fur. 🙂

Plus, he would tinkle in everryyy blanket we put in there, and he’s usually very good at holding his bladder.

little stinker.
